This is Talon's original 100RT demonstrator. This car has been featured in numerous magazine articles and has had fantastic reviews. It has been slightly de-specced for sale but remains an extremely quick and fun car.

The engine is a standard 143BHP MEMS2J spec 1.8 VVC coupled to a PG1 gearbox with MGF driveshafts and modified Rover 200 gearchange. Cooling is by way of Talon's 2 core high capacity radiator. The car is NOT now fitted with the quaife LSD originally fitted.

The bonnet and tailgate are Talon's fibreglass replacements. All the glass (except the windscreen) has been replaced with 3mm perspex. Inner door cards are made from aluminium. Tyres are Toyo R888's all round and all have plenty of life left in them. Exhaust is side exiting. The undertray and rear diffuser originally fitted have been removed.

The car is fitted with a fully welded 6 point roll-cage with door bars, bucket seats (drivers side adjustable, passengers side fixed) and road legal 3 point harnesses. The original MGF dashboard has been replaced with a standard Rover 100 dashboard to allow the heater and de-mister to be re-installed.

This car goes as well as it looks and is easily capable of embarrassing much more expensive opposition! Any inspection welcome.

MOT till July 2009. Taxed till end of December 2008.

T4 GTM A Potted History Built Summer 2002, completed in time for 2002 Motor Show where it was featured.

SVA'd 19th December 2002.

Registered 1st March 2003, declared new at first registration. It was used on a reasonably regular basis until December 2005 when it went into storage and remained there until May 2009 for various reasons.

It had it's first MOT 11th June 2009, 10,233 miles expiry date 10th June 2010. No emissions test was required as there are no emissions levels on the log book!

To get it going it needed a new battery and a new pair of rear calipers as one side was seized up on the handbrake, it also had the oil and filter changed and the coolant changed.

The engine was new when it was built, engine oil and filter,gearbox oil were changed at 500 miles, and engine oil and filter done at 5,000 miles.

Since it was built front and rear anti roll bars have been fitted made by Jim Walker ( he used it as the template for the rear bar) and the springs have been changed to 170 front, 350 rear.

The cat has been replaced by an additional silencer made by the makers of the original system.

The self tappers holding the light covers have been replaced by countersunk stainless cap screws with threaded inserts and the fixings for the front and rear clamshells are secured by stainless cap screws in inserts.

It was borrowed by the factory in 2004 and featured along with Lordy's Libra in the June 2004 edition of 'Kitcar' magazine of which I have a copy! This was done just before the anti roll bars were fitted.

In addition to the car as you have it there is a second spare wheel with the tyre mounted to make a pair with the existing spare, the moldings for the the updated door panels and the later stainless grill materials, a catalytic converter, cat bypass pipe and the original springs.
